One of the movies that contributed to my current mental state was Robocop.

It had scads of violence, flying blood, limbs etc, not to mention a lot of swearing too.

Naturally, you tend to lose much of violence and profanity when it moves to TV, given the effect it may have on young impressionable minds.

The clips below are WTF's salute to these brave scriptwriters. It really can't be easy finding a suitable synonym for "FUCK YOU".

I'm not sure if local (Singaporean) Television is moving toward the right direction... apart from sanctioning big(hah!) name drama serials while not actually improving the quality of the writing/acting/directing/editing/camerawork, they seem to have given a discreet nod of approval to banal, bawdy and downright stupid reality TV programs, as long as they feature a minor celebrity or delusional wannabes.

Well, I suppose its better than no progress at all...

Inspired by a real-life situation where I was tormented by inept service staff for the simplest coffee in the book, a white coffee or cafe au lait if you're feeling posh and like speaking in foreign tongues.

They apparently can make cappuccinos and lattes but somehow have trouble with the base form of both the above. Bizarre.

Coincidentally, like in the video, it cost me 12 bucks.

Most bizarre of all is the amount of fury I felt at the time..
